With iMovie 11 coming out with features like a “real” timeline the iMovie FAQ has decided it is time to COME BACK!!! Yes... I will say it again there is a “real” timeline, and audio editing is much more enhanced, plus the functionality of the keywording in iMovie outdoes even what Final Cut offers. (and you will not hear me say that often).

old iMovie FAQ is still up but will no longer be updated. It has not been updated in over 3 years I will be going through it and pulling out all the good information and updating anything relevant.

If you came here looking for "iMovie for Windows", I have some bad news. There is no such program. Nothing in Windows that even compares. Now some programs that are WAY better than Windows Movie Maker are
Sony Movie Studio HD and if you want something a bit more "Pro" then I suggest Adobe Premiere Elements 9 or you could, of course buy a Mac and get iMovie for "free". Not to mention, total integration with your music, photos, and the ability to share to a DVD or the Web. What Apple calls an iLife
